Drop high blood pressure--naturally

Get serious about changing the way you eat and exercise and you may reverse early high blood pressure (HBP), say researchers at the National Institutes of Health. Among subjects with stage 1 or pre-HBP (between 120/80 and 159/95), 235 were given specific diet and fitness goals. After 18 months, blood pressure returned to normal in 60% of those who'd lost at least 5 pounds, cut salt by at least 423 mg per day, and exercised moderately 3 hours per week. Only 37% of the other 241 who received just general advice achieved healthy blood pressure levels (<120/<80).
