Abstract:The article discusses the antioxidant effects of cranberries which may reduce the risk of cancer and urinary tract infections. It informs that Cranberry contains a glycoprotein which prevents the Escherichia coli bacterium from attaching at the wall of the bladder which causes urinary infections. Furthermore, cranberry also prevent cystitis occurring in women, prevent gum disease, resolve ear and respiratory infections, reduce the risk of heart disease, and inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
