Abstract:The article offers information about the curcumin, a component of the common spice called turmeric. Animal studies demonstrated an anti-inflammatory effect of curcumin, an un uncontrolled trial in humans that might be beneficial in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Curcumin may also be an effective treatment for inflammatory bowel disease.
