Abstract:The article focuses on several inflammatory bowel diseases in the U.S. Diverticulitis is a painful condition that develops when balloon-like pouches diverticula that form in the wall of the colon, part of the large intestine become inflamed or infected. Crohn's disease is a disease which causes chronic inflammation in the intestinal tract. Irritable bowel syndrome is characterized by the abdominal pain and changes in bowel function such as bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation.
