Abstract:The article reports on the effectivity of iron supplements in reducing the risk of infertility of nurses in the U.S. It is stated that 438 were found to have ovulatory infertility in a study conducted to 18,000 registered nurses between the ages of 24-42. It was found out that nurses who used iron supplements had an average of 40 percent less risk of ovulatory infertility than those who used none. However, the lead researcher suggested further trials before recommending the supplements.
