Abstract:The article discusses the effect of gluten consumption on the expression of celiac disease in those who are genetically susceptible. The gastrointestinal symptoms start in childhood in about 50 percent of those with gluten sensitivity. About 22 percent will manifest the symptoms after childhood. Fruits and vegetables are two foods that are internationally accepted as health-promoting and disease-preventing. The author suggests to eliminate or drastically reduce grain intake and take a multivitamin, magnesium, fish oil, lipoic acid, garlic and probiotics.
