Abstract:The article offers information on celiac disease, including its etiology, symptoms and treatment. Celiac disease is an autoimmune condition caused by absorptive surfaces of the small intestine. It prevents the body from receiving important nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Possible symptoms include bloating, diarrhea and frequent headaches. It can be treated through avoiding all gluten in the diet and to avoid foods with malt extract, wheat starch, and cereal binding.
