Connecting cognitive Impairment with celiac disease

Abstract:The article presents a study which established the link between celiac disease and cognitive impairment or dementia, according to Mayo Clinical research team. It is noted that the researchers followed patients who showed cognitive impairment within two years of onset or exacerbation of adult celiac disease. Moreover, the author mentioned that nutritional deficiency may explain why a cognitive decline occurs in some celiac disease patients.
