Abstract:The article focuses on the Chinese medical treatment of multiple sclerosis using the ying qi and wei qi theory. It explains that wei qi warms the body and nourishes the couli which includes the interstices and connecting tissues between the skin, muscle and organs, while yin qi nourishes the internal organs, the body tissues, and is an ingredient of the blood. It discusses the flow of ying qi and wei qi in the human body and their relationship to the shenhen.
