Orthomolecular nutrition is corrective, preventive and treats the person's biochemical imbalances with a long-term benefits. One study by Dr. Abraham Hoffer stated that vitamin deficits in the brain may cause mental illness. As mentioned, the brain is the most undernourished organ in the body and amino acids or nutrients treat the cause. The key is to understand how amino acids and brain function go together.
