Abstract:The article focuses on the benefits offered by Vitamin D for the human body. It notes that high levels of vitamin D may slow aging and increase life span. According to a report, it prevents age-related decline in telomere length, the DNA sequences that shorten with aging, cell division and inflammation. The author states that increasing vitamin D levels are associated with longer leukocyte telomere life.
