Abstract:The article provides information on various myths and facts regarding aging. Geriatrician Patricia Harris negates the myth that dementia is part of aging because she notes that it is a modifiable health condition. In terms of sexual intercourse, a survey shows that people ages 57-85 are still sexually active. To contradict the myth that women fear aging, the National Women's Health Resource Center discovers that women are optimistic on aging and regarded aging as an adventure.
