Yoga for multiple sclerosis

It is paradoxical that yoga, thousands of eyars old and originating in India, a warm country where multiple sclerosis is almost nonexistent, is both utterly contemporary and of great benefit in the treatment of multiple scelrosis (MS). Fatiqued by modern medicine's sharp compartmentalization, comtemporary medicine has rebelled and claims interest in the whole person. Yoga and its goals have always addressed the whole person; there is no such thing as "yoga of the thigh."

Gentle, low-impact yoga is the perfect exercise for people living with multiple sclerosis. Studies show that after six months of practicing yoga, fatique and other symptoms are significantly reduced. from "Yoga and Multiple Sclerosis: A Journey to Health and Healing."
