This No Hunger Bread Recipe is the Hunza bread that is said to prevent hunger while adding nutritional content.

Trivia: This Hunza Bread recipe is allegedly 2000 years old. From the looks of things, I'd say its been modified for modern use.

Tip: This is promoted at a diet bread that helps you lose weight. It looks awfully high in sugar to me. You be the judge .However, it is nutritious and high in protein, vitamins and minerals.

Hunza Bread Ingredients

2 cups water
1 3/4 to 2 pounds of natural buckwheat. or natural millet flour
3/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup natural unrefined sugar
8 ounces honey
8 ounces molasses
2 ounces of powdered soya milk (about 1/4 cup)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking powder (non aluminium)
Optional: any or all of the following: dates (softened in water), apricots, raisins, chopped walnuts, almonds, cranberries, blueberries, etc.

Mix your ingredients together.

Use a greased and lightly floured baking pan. The sides should be about one inch high. You may need more than one pan for this.

Pour in pan and bake for one hour. Your oven temperature should be 300°F.

When done, dry the bread in the oven at an extremely low temperature, perhaps about 90°F.

Remove from oven and cool. Then, cut your no hunger bread into squares.

Wrap in a cloth and store it in a container.
